Local poet, Michael Dylan Welch visited our K-3 students. I saw a lot of smiles from students, and I know my kindergarten students had fun. Writing is hard work and hopefully we can make it easier for them. I’m glad Michael provided this opportunity.
I was going to do a Haiku walk with Michael Dylan Welch and others, Saturday morning. I didn’t take into account travel time and missed out. I ended up putting peat moss, grass seed, and fertilizer on the grass, instead. There is a poem there, for me to write… Here's the latest:

Enjoy! Stuck in my head?
A bit of bumming news, after my middle-grade novel being under consideration since I think January, I received a form rejection letter yesterday. So what does this mean? As I will attempt to answer my own question…Hmmm…I guess nothing… I’ll start sending it off to some other publishers, I submitted once yesterday. I will be starting my writing class for students at Robert Frost, on Thursday, April 12th, 3:35-4:35.
I’ll be emailing the parents of these students that purchased this experience at the Frost Auction as soon as I can make it up to school, probably Friday. I look forward to some awesome writing. April is National Poetry Month, here are some links to learn more about it:
