I have a new link up on my website:
http://www.roykindelberger.com/august-postcards.html It’s a slideshow of some of my August Postcards. I only have four up right now and the print is only one line, so I’ll be adding more and I’ll see if I can fix the print part. Anyways it’s a fun process… I just joined SCBWI: http://www.scbwi.org/Default.aspx
I’ve been a local member in the Western Washington Region but decided to expand my networking. http://www.scbwi-washington.org/ It was kind of cool to list all of my publications. I really didn’t realize how many I had. Here is my profile if you are a member and would like to view it: http://www.scbwi.org/MemberProfile.aspx?u=2988281566495949 I look forward to making new writer friends. Last Wednesday, I went to a poetry reading at Parkplace Books. It was good to be back listening and reading poetry. I read a bunch of poems from August Postcards and a couple of others. I combined them to create one poem. It was an interesting experiment and to be honest I’m not really sure how it went. At some point I’ll post an August Postcard link on the website, along with some of those poems.

I’ve prepared a few of the poems from August Postcards and a few other short poems. I really look forward to the event and will let you know how it goes. Happy Writing Here is the latest from Everything Poetry:
http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=f14ddba94c68d9dacd2109f12&id=9f23e4199c&e=478e68ea5b I’m going to Parkplace Reading on Wednesday, the 14th. I will read my favorites from August Postcards. I haven’t posted them, because I haven’t decided on my top five. I think I’ll post those after the reading… Happy Writing! The first day of school is tomorrow, and I’m extremely excited.
Earlier in June I posted a list of books that I planned to read. I ended up reading all of them including a few others: The Absolutely Diary of a Part-time Indian, by Sherman Alexie The Friendship Doll, by Kirby Larson Star Wars: Choices of One, by Timothy Zahn Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi #8: Ascension, by Christie Golden Overcoming Dyslexia, by Sally Shaywitz Echoes Of Fury, by Frank Parchman Bridge to Terabitia, by Katherine Paterson The First Editions of Charles Dickens, by John C.Eckel The Complete Illustrated Guide to Tai Chi, by Angus Clark Here are a few others I read: The Essence Of Tea, by Shan-Tung Hsu The Art of Forgiveness, Lovingkindness, and Peace, by Jack Kornfield Messenger and Gathering Blue, by Lois Lowry Bird Lake Moon, by Kevin Henkes Parents Wanted, by George Harrar I wasn’t disappointed with any of them. It was quite a joy to read such a hodgepodge of books. There were a few others that I reread too. I’ve wrapped up August Postcards. It was a fun experience. I’ll
read some of my favorite ones at the next poetry reading. I’ll also post some of my favorites too… |
