I hope everyone had a great holiday. I know I did.

The day after Christmas was my 40th birthday. As a family, we spent time eating
dinner at the Space Needle and taking the Monorail.

Oh, and we watched the new Alvin and the Chipmunk’s Movie.

I wanted to see the new Muppet Movie but was out
voted…sigh…even on my birthday…

Poetry Reading At Parkplace Books

I went to the poetry reading at Parkplace Books last night. It
was a small crowd, so I wish I’d brought more poetry to read, I usually only
read two of my poems. It was a fun and cozy atmosphere. One thing I’m doing
with my poems is taking the Haikus from August Postcards and creating longer
poems or even creating stories with them. I read two of those poems last night.
Over winter break I plan on extending more.

I sent off the beginning of the nonfiction book to an editor.
We’ll see if they want me to finish the project. I’m also waiting to hear back
from some other editors regarding manuscripts.

For now I’ll work on some poetry.
