El Dia De Los Ninos

On Monday, April 30th, we are going to celebrate Dia: El Dia de Los Ninos/El Dia De Los Libros, Children’s day/Book Day. Author Pat Mora started Dia, in 1996. Here’s her website: http://www.patmora.com/dia.htm

On Monday at 6:00 in the evening, we plan to have a celebration, family and students are invited.

Day 2 Of The Conference

A great day two of the conference, I received a positive critique for a picture book, that I’d written in verse. I have some writing I need to tighten up but the potential is there.

I enjoyed another day of some good news for local authors and great presentations. I’ll post later about some of the highlights that were blogged for the conference.

Writer's Conference

Today, I spent the day in Redmond at the Western Washington SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) Annual Conference. I’ll be there tomorrow too. I received a lot of information and inspiration. I need some time to soak it all in. So I’ll just end with that for now…
